Huawei an Edutech announce Smart Education solution for classroom learning at GESS
ICT provider Huawei and learning solutions provider Edutech have joined forces to launch a Smart Education solution to improve student reactions through active learning.
Announced at Gulf Educational Supplies and Solutions (GESS), under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, the partnership will enable collaboration inside and outside the classroom for students and teachers.
Teachers are able to use the technology to develop courseware and lesson plans for students that can be shared though digital services. The service aims to provide educators with borderless wireless connectivity and mobility with handheld devices. Also included is Echo360, an active learning platform, which records the instructor's lecture and student activity related.
"The incorporation of technology into classrooms has completely revolutionised the way the students learn and continues to push the boundaries within the education industry," said Shameema Parveen, co-founder and CEO of Edutech Middle East.
"In order to facilitate the adoption of e-learning technologies, institutions need to ensure the foundation of any smart environment. The Smart Education solution that we launched with Huawei today can change the way that classes are taught and offer a more flexible and creative learning environment for students."
Aside from its e-Classroom and Smart Education solution, Huawei has a wider range of education technology that it believes is helping equip educators with the right technology to make an impact on learning environments. These include its Agile Education Campus network solution, its Agile Bus solution, its Education WAN, Education cloud - including its cloud virtual desktop infrastructure and school cloud micro data centers - and its Safe Campus CCTV Surveillance solution.
