The UAE Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR) has launched a number of e-services to cater to its partners and stakeholders.

The FANR e-licensing service will allow UAE entities to applying for new or renewed licenses, apply to import, export or transport radioactive materials, and submit routine operating records.

The system will also build into a National Dose Register and National Source Register as part of FANR's obligations under law. The new system will enable FANR to consider licensee requests and reports more rapidly and accurately, and it reflects FANR's commitment to offering the best possible service to its licensees. The environmentally friendly process is also expected to reduce paper usage, and it reflects FANR's commitment to provide services closer to its customers, regardless of their location.

The new service will be in line with FANR's smart government initiative and its vision to move from physical to digital licensing process and services.

"We are proud to improve our service for the many UAE businesses that use radiation-related technologies," said FANR deputy director general for Administration Mohamed Sultan Al Zaabi. "FANR is committed to continuously developing smart management solutions that serve its role of overseeing the safe, secure and peaceful nature of all nuclear and radiation-related activities in the UAE."
