UAE Gloria Hotel deploys Huawei WiFi
Hotel is equipped to offer Huawei's high-speed WiFi connectivity on any device across its premises
Gloria Hotel announced the completion of its ICT upgrade, where it has adopted Huawei's WiFi technology to provide the largest in-room 11ac WLAN deployment in the UAE.
The WLAN will provide wide coverage for both hotel guests and staff, and in particular enables staff to perform their duties with facing coverage black-spots and increase productivity. The extended coverage provides both in-room connectivity as well as outdoor coverage at speed of 1 Gbps.
"We know that consumers in the digital age place great importance on being connected to their families, friends and colleagues while travelling. Together with Huawei, we have now made it easier for people to enjoy our interactive hotel services and a superior customer experience during their stay," said Dylan Fernandes, cluster IT Director at Gloria Hotels and Resorts.
The installation process involved implementing ‘face-plate' WLAN access points were installed using the hotel's existing cabling infrastructure in the rooms, which meant there was no requirement for laying of new cables.
"The competition in the hospitality industry is fierce and guests want more for their money as costs are always on the rise. Whether holidaymaking or here on business, we recognise that today's traveller has come to expect smooth and seamless internet access anytime, anywhere," remarked Rhazi Sayeh, real estate and hospitality solutions at Huawei Middle East.
"This is especially true within hotel environments where thousands of guests may be online at any given time. The ability to meet high expectations for security and speed, while also being able to scale to user demands are paramount challenges for hotel IT teams, worldwide -challenges that Huawei is proud to have helped Gloria Hotel overcome in this latest cooperation."
The implementation was installed in partnership with Alpha Data.
