SMBs to face attacks: 2015 was the year renowned companies, such as Talk Talk, Ashley Madison and Vtech were hacked, resulting in huge loses and damaged egos. Nevertheless, according to a report by PwC, 74% of small and medium-sized businesses experienced a security threat in the last 12 months, as criminals perceive them as ‘easy targets’. Sophos explains companies of such sizes are open to hack attacks due to lacking security budgets and no thorough IT strategy, which could result in an average £75,000 loss.
