Western Digital, a global provider of storage solutions, has announced the myWD Certified Surveillance Storage Provider Programme, designed to offer a comprehensive lineup of benefits for the security and surveillance channel network.

According to the vendor, the myWD Certified Surveillance Storage Provider Programme is a tailor made initiative that aims to offer security and surveillance systems integrators, installers, solutions and service providers' with training, sales support, value-added benefits and incentives geared to help them enhance their business opportunities and profitability.

The new programme has been unveiled in the wake of a recent report by Research and Markets, which anticipates the video surveillance storage market to grow at a CAGR of 22.41% to reach $18.28bn by 2020.

"At WD, we consider our partners at all tiers to be equally important for our sucess to ensure that the installers and systems integrators working in the security and surveillance segment get trained on the latest technologies, certified and stay updated. The launch of the myWD Certified Surveillance Storage Provider Program is in line with this strategy," said Khwaja Saifuddin, senior sales director, Middle East, Africa and India, WD.

Saifuddin added that: "The myWD Certified Surveillance Storage Provider Programme is currently being rolled out, in India, to be followed by Middle East, Africa and Turkey next, and will offer our partners the opportunity to capitalise on a wide-range of WD Purple surveillance storage solutions engineered for 24 by 7 always-on, high-definition surveillance systems."

He said with so many new opportunities emerging in the security and surveillance industry, the programme is aimed at helping our ever expanding partner base to effectively tap into the growing market for video surveillance storage, extend the best in class products, service and support to ensure their customer objectives are effectively delivered on. "The programme is designed to extend channel partners the industry relevant education, sales and marketing support to drive their business in these rapidly growing markets," he said.

The company said eligible partners will be provided in depth product training to receive a WD Certified Surveillance Storage Provider Program certificate. In addition, Western Digital added that partners will have access to sales support through a dedicated WD account manager, exclusive member promotions, regular product updates in addition to in-store POS marketing material.
