Mobily and KAAU sign deal for apps training
MoU to include developer training and data offers for staff
Mobily and the King Abdul Aziz University have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) which is will focus on practical training for students in science and technology.
Under the deal, Mobily will provide free training courses for students in areas such as mobile apps, communications technology, apps development and computer software, to improve their skills and to increase their employment prospects.
The training will be offered as part of Mobily's Community for Application Developers project.
The university will also participate in Mobily's application development contests. Mobily will also facilitate the University by providing text messaging service to help deliver University Community News to the staff of the University. In addition to that, special data packages are being offered to the administration and teachers of the University enabling stronger internal communications between university, its employees, departments, faculty and students of the University.
The MoU was signed by Ahmed Farrukh, CEO of Mobily and by the Acting General Manager of the University, Abdul Rahman Bin Obeid Al Youbi in the presence of a number of representatives.
