Twenty Dubai-based software developers have qualified for Avaya's new Avaya Certified Snap-Ins Developer accreditation.

Avaya Snap-Ins, part of the Avaya Engagement Development Platform (EDP), are reusable software modules that allow developers to quickly integrate different functions and capabilities of Avaya UC communications into enterprise environments, for rapid development of advanced communications systems.

Avaya conducted a three day bootcamp in Dubai designed to showcase the potential of the Engagement Development Platform; the ease of snap-in application creation and deployment, and the benefits of using the Avaya-hosted Collaboratory development environment. Participants gained a hands-on experience of working with development experts to build, test and install their own Java applications.

Savio Tovar Dias, Director - Sales Engineering, Avaya AMEA said: "Avaya is keen to drive innovation in the technology sector in the Middle East and the world. The software developer community is at the heart of the innovation drive; being part of the enterprise, whether public or private, means that developers are the ones who would understand the needs of their business and are able to translate those needs quickly and easily into smart applications that work."
