DVCOM Technology, a leading UAE-based IT solutions company and the regional distributor for Yealink, has updated its unified communications (UC) product portfolio with the first two Yealink IP Phones certified for Microsoft Lync 2013/Skype for Business.

“Yealink’s IP Phones with support for Skype for Business extend the communication experience and facilitate better collaboration. Customers can expect the same features that work with Lync 2013 to also work with Skype for Business. As a Value Added Distributor, DVCOM represents Yealink’s legacy of innovation with the delivery of an end-to-end UC solution for Microsoft environments,” said Renjan George, managing director, DVCOM Technology

Yealink’s UC Edition phones SIP-T48G and SIP-T22P are compatible with Skype for Business and builds on Microsoft Lync’s features and functionality to provide a UC platform that enables instant messaging, audio and video conferencing, and online meetings.

Benefits of the Skype for Business/Lync certified phones include a familiar Skype user experience with minimal learning costs; support for Skype for Business/Lync Server in-band provisioning - carefree configuration, mass deployment, and easier management; tailored phone functions for every employee; and smooth and flexible switching between Skype for Business/Lync and IP phone.

The SIP-T48G is Yealink’s most recent IP phone designed specifically for business executives and professionals. The innovative phone incorporates a large touch panel that makes switching between different screens and applications swift, easy and convenient. Yealink’s Optima HD technology creates the impression of sitting virtually face-to-face opposite the person at the other end of the call. Support for Microsoft Lync Server in-band provisioning enables carefree configuration and deployment, as well as direct updates from the server simply by logging in at SIP-48G.

The cost-effective SIP-T22P features an intuitive user interface and enhanced functionality which making it easy for people to interact and maximize productivity. Yealink HD technology enables rich, clear, life-like voice communications, outsourced management options, flexible deployment and third-party communications applications.

The two Yealink phones were tested and certified through the rigorous Microsoft Skype for Business certification program, and they support the Lync 2013 and Lync 2010 firmware versions. Yealink recently attained a Microsoft Gold Communications Partner Competency, which attests to its best-in-class functionality with Skype for Business/Lync.
