UAE-based low-cost airline Flydubai has signed a long-term strategic agreement with NIIT Technologies, which will oversee the build-out of airline-specific IT systems that cater to all aspects of Flydubai’s business.

Under the agreement, NIIT will deliver these services through its Global Delivery Centre at its campus in Greater Noida. This will include a dedicated Testing Centre of Excellence for Flydubai. In addition, NIIT will provide support on software development projects with data centre services through its Infrastructure Management Services.

Flydubai said that the agreement will see the roll-out of services that enhance passenger satisfaction.

“We remain committed to providing a great travel experience for all our passengers through advancements in technology and improvement in our operational efficiency,” said Ramesh Venkat, CIO of Flydubai.

“This appointment will not only help us to prepare for our next phase of growth but will enable us to remain flexible and adapt to changes in travel patterns in the market.”

Deepak Khosla, president of the APAC and ANZ regions at NIIT Technologies added: “Through this association we look forward to delivering exceptional experience for the Flydubai passengers. Given our proven expertise in the travel and transportation domain and managing large-scale projects for some of the leading global airlines, we are confident that our services will support Flydubai in its growth."
