Security Innovation, a cyber-security firm specializing in securing critical platforms, has announced that emaratech, a leading technology and consulting company in the Arab World, has selected its eLearning solution. The courses cover secure coding and end-user security awareness best practices.

Security Innovation’s eLearning product was introduced to emaratech via its regional partner SecureLink, a business risk consulting firm based in Dubai. After multiple rounds of discussions, emaratech selected Security Innovation’s eLearning courses.

“Securing our business, especially the software manufacturing which we are renowned for is of paramount importance as we are the vanguard. Security Innovation has provided seamless, diverse and easy security content.” stated the company in a press release.

Security Innovation’s experts are practicing developers and professional security testers and trainers. Their course examples and content are the result of over a decade of experience conducting code reviews and application assessments for some of the world’s most recognizable brands. Security Innovation is positioned as a Leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Security Awareness Computer-Based Training Vendors.

“emaratech is one of the few companies developing softwares for government entities. The importance of security and secure coding practices are part of their daily work, thus chose this product after rigorous evaluation” said Reghu Mohandas, director, Risk Analytics & Advisory, SecureLink.

“It’s well documented that the biggest security weakness in an organisations is uninformed staff” said Lisa Parcella, Director of Training Program at Security Innovation.  “Educating your employees on security best practices can prevent 40% of data breaches caused by careless or unaware insiders.  It’s encouraging that organizations realize the need to build a culture of security and drive behavioural change”.

To further penetrate the security training market in the Middle East, Security Innovation co-exhibited with SecureLink’s parent company StarLink at GITEX which took place at the Dubai World Trade Centre this October.
