IT leaders take top honours at ACN Awards ACN presented awards across a number of categories.

Last night saw the presentation of the annual Arabian Computer News Arab Technology Awards. The awards, now in their 11th year, were presented at a gala dinner held at the Park Hyatt Hotel, attracting nearly 300 leading executives and decision-makers from the region's IT industry.

ACN presented awards across a number of categories, including awards for the best projects and implementations from the most important vertical sectors in the region, along with awards for the most outstanding vendors serving the Middle East today, and awards for outstanding individuals and teams, including the IT department of the year, the young IT professional of the year, and the CIO of the year.

This year, there was a large number of nominations, reflecting the quality of the projects undertaken by the IT community in the region

The ACN Awards are judged by an independent panel selected from the industry. This year's panel included Dr Jassim Haji, Director of IT at Gulf Air; Sreedhar K. Reddy, Director of IT at Aldar Properties; Megha Kumar, Senior Research Manager for Software at IDC Middle East, Africa and Turkey; and Asif Javed, Technology Lead for the Middle East at Accenture.

The event was presented by du and was sponsored by Eaton, Skyline University College, Avaya, Unify, Nexthink, Redington and Dell.
