As the Internet of Things (IoT) takes shape, many organisations are angling for a piece of the action by establishing their credentials in their given domains.

One such company is Gemalto, an established name in the global digital security market, now offering hardware modules, platforms and secure service solutions to connect and protect M2M or electronic consumer devices. “We partner with industrial manufacturers, OEMs and mobile networks operators in all markets where connectivity, data, cloud and service security are essential to commercial success,” says Sherry Zameer, senior VP, Telecommunication Solutions for Middle East & Africa at Gemalto.

Zameer explains that Gemalto operates in three main domains, all key enablers of IoT. First is security and value added features to consumer electronic connected devices, ranging from payments and authentication to enterprise services and connectivity.

“In parallel, we are also at the forefront of communication between machines that enables innovative advances in technology. We do so by developing M2M capabilities that are improving and simplifying the way our customers do business and help them unleash the power of IoT,” says Zameer. “Our secure M2M solutions and services enablement platforms simplify and speed development and let our customers create custom M2M applications and services quickly using proven building blocks,” he adds.
