OnePlus, the Chinese technology start-up that exploded onto the scene last year with its unorthodox marketing and disruptive price points, is bringing its ‘flagship killer’ OnePlus One device to the Middle East, retailed exclusively via leading online retailer “Souq.com” and distributed exclusively through Mercantile Pacific.

Souq.com is the only website selling the OnePlus One sourced through OnePlus’ official importer for the region unlike other e-commerce players.

OnePlus One has proved to be a hit with consumers, selling close to one million units in 2014. It will be made available in the Middle East from 9 August without its ‘invite-only’ purchase restriction, which was initially put in place due to demand far outstripping supply.

Under the OnePlus motto of 'Never Settle', the OnePlus One combines great design, build quality and specs at a very accessible price.

The OnePlus One is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with quad-core CPUs at speeds of up to 2.5GHz per core, making it one of the fastest available processors in a smartphone. Custom Krait CPU architecture, integrated 4G LTE connectivity, Qualcomm Adreno 330 GPU and 3GB of LP-DDR3 RAM combine to offer a fluid and quick user experience. Massive 3100 mAh battery and an energy efficient display ensures that the OnePlus One lasts for more than a full day of use. The device performs better than many flagship smartphones on various performance benchmarks.

Ronaldo Mouchawar, Souq.com CEO & Co-Founder said:  “We are anticipating that the popularity of the OnePlus One device will mirror that of other markets across the world due to its exceptional design, power and price, which will resonate with our customers. As the region’s leading e-commerce platform, we are dedicated to bringing leading new brands and models to market that are normally inaccessible to consumers in the Middle East.”

OnePlus One will be available in the UAE from 9 August, Kuwait from 13 August and KSA from 11 August, exclusively through www.Souq.com, the official sales partner of OnePlus in the Middle East. The prices are 1,149 AED for UAE, 119 KD for Kuwait and 1,179 SAR for KSA.
