Datacentrix and Bitrate tie up Many enterprises spend their budgets blind-sighted on problems without knowing the root cause, says Pretorius.

Datacentrix, a systems integrator that provides solutions and services across the full information value chain, has formed a strategic partnership with Bitrate to deliver network and application analysis, monitoring and troubleshooting solutions from Fluke Networks.

Fluke Networks, a Danaher Corporation-owned company, is a developer of solutions that enable enterprises to gain comprehensive performance visibility across wired and wireless network infrastructure.

"Too many enterprises spend their budgets blind-sighted on problems without knowing the root cause," said Chris Pretorius, Cisco business unit manager at Datacentrix. "We found an ease-of-use, benefit-rich, cost-effective solution that will support customers in accurate decision-making, and that will contribute to improving the business value of IT."

The solution provides "business value of IT" through a holistic measurement of the delivery of business services to users and customers, which helps to identify improvement opportunities in IT. Simple visuals help the engineer, operations and C-level teams to determine and prioritise where investment is needed. Once the investment is made, the true value can be monitored in real-time.

The Fluke Networks AANPM solution also helps route out finger-pointing.

Du Preez Swart, from Bitrate, added: "Enterprises typically house multiple business silos which point the finger to other departments or entities when problems arise. Often, this is purely due to the lack of visibility as to where issues lie, be it network, server, application or infrastructure. We now have a solution for any enterprise to alleviate the mean time to know (MTTK) and mean time to repair (MTTR)."
