By  Stephen McBride Published  July 20, 2015

China's Huawei predicted "steady and healthy" growth in 2015 after recording CNY175.9bn ($28.3bn) in revenue for the first half of the year, which represented a 30% surge on the same period in 2014, according to a report from Reuters.

"Huawei achieved stable and healthy growth in all of its three business segments," said CFO Meng Wanzhou, referring to the company's operations in telecoms equipment, consumer devices and enterprise solutions.

"We are confident that we will maintain effective growth and steady and healthy development in all business segments in 2015."

Earlier this year Huawei announced it was aiming for 20% growth in global revenue for 2015 having attained a 21% surge last year. The company has set a target for $70bn in revenue by 2018.
