The UAE Ministry of Environment and Water has become the latest government entity to connect the UAE Electronic Federal Network (FEDnet).

FEDnet is a national electronic network that connects 42 federal entities with each other, offering IT services at a reduced cost combined with high levels of security and efficiency.

His Excellency Ghanem Al Shamsi, Acting Undersecretary for Support Services, Ministry of Environment and Water, said that the connection with FEDnet represents a key step in the Ministry's efforts to support the government's smart strategy that is aimed towards establishing a unified infrastructure for electronic networks. He added that the success of this initiative is another addition to the Ministry's achievements in supporting the government's shift towards smart governance, which is part of the wise leadership's vision. The Ministry's continuing show of support for this shift ensures its delivery of all administrative services in accordance with standards of quality, efficiency and transparency.

The successful connection between the Ministry and FEDnet will result in a smoother exchange of data between all government agencies, thereby contributing to the further effectiveness of the electronic services provided by the Ministry of Environment and Water to other entities.
