ManageEngine releases ‘privileged accounts’ access solution
Infrastructure management specialist targets enterprise with latest version of Password Manager Pro
Real-time IT management company ManageEngine this week released the Enterprise Edition of Password Manager Pro, its privileged access-management software.
Designed for large enterprises, the new edition combines "enterprise-class scalability, security, performance and affordability, facilitating highly secure and easy management of shared sensitive information such as passwords, documents and digital identities", ManageEngine said in a statement.
Privileged accounts, with security credentials that give unlimited access to networks, are growing in number, according to ManageEngine. Cybercriminals use spear-phishing campaigns to target privileged accounts and ManageEngine believes there is a need for "a reliable and scalable solution that can automate the entire lifecycle of privileged password management with a policy-driven approach".
"As enterprises tackle the challenge of privileged access management, they are looking for a full-featured solution that integrates seamlessly with the IT infrastructure," said Rajesh Ganesan, director of product management at ManageEngine. "With capabilities like automatic account discovery, ticketing-system integration and jump-server support, Password Manager Pro meets all enterprise requirements for improved accuracy and efficiency of privileged access management."
