His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, has announced plans for closer service integration between local and federal government smart services.

Speaking at a creative lab session hosted by the Mohammad Bin Rashid Centre for Government Innovation, HH Sheikh Mohammed said: "We are aiming, during the coming period, to link federal and local smart government services and offer a unified portal that is available for customers regardless of where they are and which service they require, because customers perceive us as one nation and one integrated business environment."

The lab session was held to discuss key ideas for developing smart government services with 100 smart government directors and officials taking part.

HH Sheikh Mohammed added that there is a need to review some legislation and government measures to facilitate the work of smart government and raise the efficiency of its services, saying that the next phase requires a comprehensive review, and continuous evaluation and classification of the services quality.

During his participation in the meeting, which was attended by Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gargawi, Minister for Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the Higher Committee for Smart Government, His Highness also said that the smart employee is the source for providing smart service and customers need a lot of service channels to suit their different circumstances.
