In his new role, Menakbi will be responsibile for promoting Fujitsu Technology Solutions' product line, including Primergy Server, Fujitsu Storage, Fujitsu Solutions and Fujitsu's Alliance Partner Products. In addition, Menakbi will work closely with the channel ecosystem including distributors and "select" partners in the region.

"Prior to taking on this new role, I was head of Storage Products and Solutions, Western and Eastern Europe, Middle East, India and Africa (WEMEIA). This gave me in-depth understanding of Fujitsu's strategy and excellent network within the organisation," he said.

Menakbi pointed out that the solutions portfolio of Fujitsu Technology Solutions is diverse and unrivalled in the technology landscape.

He said because he will be in-charge of the company's entire channel business across the Middle East region, he will aim to build long-lasting relationships based on trust and commitment with the company's existing and future channel partners.

"The IT channel is in constant change and as such, we see new opportunities coming up on a daily basis. For Fujitsu Technology Solutions, the timing is perfect to make a significant impact to the channel, as the market is increasingly solutions driven. We see significant changes to the channel landscape by major solutions players being acquired and leaving a large part of the channel community unmanaged," he said.

Menakbi explained that Fujitsu is looking for a close, long-lasting and trusted association with the channel community in the region. "We have several exciting initiatives for the channel and will work to build a robust partner ecosystem in 2015 and beyond," he added.
