Vocalcom has been appointed as the Platinum Sponsor for the first ever ITP Technology .Gov Awards.

The multi-channel contact centre solutions specialist announced its support of the inaugural .Gov Awards, which will honour the achievements of Abu Dhabi & Federal Government sector in the ICT field.

Ali Kassab, EVP Corporate Growth Vocalcom and CEO Vocalcom MEA said that the company had chosen to participate in the awards, to highlight the impact of advanced contact centre solutions in enhancing the customer experience in smart cities and smart government services.

"Moving forward with our Smart strategy this year and heavily targeting government sectors, we have already proven our ability to meet the needs of the contact centres, while maintaining the demanding and high security measures of the government sector. Vocalcom is currently participating in enhancing the customer experience in many government organisations in Abu Dhabi like ADDC, AADC, Presidential Guard & CICPA, alongside many other government organisations across the GCC," Kassab commented.

The .Gov Awards have been established to highlight the world-leading progress that the Gulf region has made in the field of smart government and the use of information technology to drive progress and improve lives.

The first edition of the awards is open to Abu Dhabi and Federal Government entities and partners only, with subsequent editions planned for Dubai & Northern Emirates, and Saudi Arabia.

The awards will recognise the outstanding work that has been conducted by the government sector in the region in the past 12 months, in emerging fields such as online services, mobile applications and smart cities.

The awards are set to be presented at a gala dinner, to be held in St. Regis Corniche Abu Dhabi on 31st March, and are expected to attract more than 300 heads of government entities and technology professionals, providing an unrivalled networking and business development opportunity as well as a platform to honour the sector's top performers.

Awards will be presented in 15 categories which will recognise new online services, successful deployments carried out by government departments, new initiatives in government services and outstanding leaders and individuals.
