.Gov awards nomination deadline extended
.Gov Awards to honour ICT and smart government achievements of the public sector
The nomination deadline for ITP's .Gov Awards has been extended for one week.
Nominees for the awards now have until March 5th to register their nominations on the awards website
The ITP Technology .Gov Awards are a new awards program, launched to honour the achievements of the government sector in the GCC in the ICT field.
The inaugural ITP Technology .Gov Awards have been established to highlight the world leading progress that the Gulf region has made in the field of smart government and the use of information technology to drive progress and improve lives. These awards will recognise the outstanding work that has been conducted by the government sector in the region in the past 12 months, in emerging fields such as online services, mobile applications and smart cities.
The awards will be presented at a gala dinner, to be held in St. Regis Corniche Abu Dhabi on 31st March, and are expected to attract more than 300 heads of government entities and technology professionals, providing an unrivalled networking and business development opportunity as well as a platform to honour the sector's top performers.
Awards will be presented in 15 categories which will recognise new online services, successful deployments carried out by government departments, new initiatives in government services and outstanding leaders and individuals.

GOVERNMENT IT APPLICATION PROJECT OF THE YEAR
GOVERNMENT IT INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT OF THE YEAR
FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IT DEPARTMENT OF THE YEAR
ABU DHABI GOVERNMENT IT DEPARTMENT OF THE YEAR
GOVERNMENT IT LEADER OF THE YEAR
YOUNG GOVERNMENT IT PROFESSIONAL OF THE YEAR
INNOVATION IN GOVERNMENT SERVICES AWARD
Nominations can be made by government departments and partners and are made by completing an online nomination form and submitting it with the appropriate supporting documents. Each application will then be assessed and judged by ITP Technology's editorial team.
