A robot vacuum cleaner in South Korea did its best to swallow its owner, according to a report from The Register, which cited Korean news site The Kyunghyang Shinmum.

The unnamed woman was taking a nap on the floor, having presumably forgotten that her vacuum was pre-programmed to do a sweep of the area. When the machine started its rounds it identified its owner as rubbish and tried to hoover her up, starting with her head.

According to The Kyunghyang Shinmum, the unit managed to consume 5cm of her hair.

The fire department came to her rescue, however, dismantling the rogue machine before it could continue its rampage and incite her toaster and washing machine to civil disobedience.

Brings a whole new meaning to being treated like garbage.
