In light of the growing threat to cyber security in the Middle East, will launch a monthly Master Class to educate our readers on the perils they face and how to defend against them.

We call it our Cyber Kung Fu Master Class and on the last Thursday of each month we will, with the help of a guest Cyber Kung Fu Master, shed light on a cyber-attack: how it is done, what damage it can do, and, most importantly, how to protect yourself against it.

Between now and the end of the year, our digital dojo will examine DDoS, DNS cache poisoning, phishing, website malware, critical infrastructure/SCADA attacks, software vulnerability exploits, SQL injections, mobile malware and advanced persistent threats.

Our first session will be on Thursday 29 January, with Nicolai Solling, director of technology services, Help AG, who will teach us about distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks.

If you are concerned about what's out there in the big bad Web, then join us on the mats and learn Kung Fu.
