DSOA and Zain Jordan to collaborate on entrepreneurship
MoU signed for cooperation between innovation centres in UAE and Jordan
Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA) and Zain Jordan are set to collaborate on developing entrepreneurial ecosystems in Dubai and Jordan.
The two organisations have signed an MoU, which will focus on co-operation between DSOA's Dubai Technology Entrepreneurship Centre (DTEC) and Zain's Innovation Campus.
The agreement will encourage the integration of young Emirati talent into the telecom sector and facilitate the professional growth of employees through hosting periodic training courses, workshops, seminars and conferences. The MoU additionally mandates both parties to provide entrepreneurs and campus members with access to their respective technology, equipment and network.
Zain Jordan established the Zain Innovation Campus (ZINC) in November 2014, to support Jordanian entrepreneurs and startups to transform their ideas into productive sustainable projects, to be marketed locally, regionally and internationally. ZINC provides equipped environment with state-of-the-art technological services, in addition to mentorship and an access to network with 50 strategic partners that represent the global technology corporates, startups incubators and business accelerators.
Silicon Oasis' DTEC is due to launch in Q1 of this year, and will provide a work environment for existing and emerging high-tech entrepreneurs and startups to support entrepreneurial activities.
