15. Look ma, no hands: Apple Watch is a fan's best friend (SEPTEMBER)

Apple’s first foray into wearables got more than a bit of attention in September. 

The fact that Sony, Samsung and other had already dipped toes in the uncharted waters did nothing to dampen curiosity. It helped that Apple had apparently added something new, with the Crown interface. The innovative UI went a long way towards justifying CEO Tim Cook’s earlier remarks that Apple had never done anything first; it had merely done things better.
