Networks specialist, Avaya, today announced it has seen double-digit growth this year in the Middle East, Africa and Turkey markets.

Avaya president, Global Growth Markets, Nidal Abou Ltaif, made the announcement at the company's annual PartnerConnect Conference 2014.

"Beating market growth rates, the announcement was a reflection of the momentum the company has seen across the nine-region global growth markets theatre, which includes Africa, Middle East, Turkey, India, Pakistan, China, Russia and CIS," Avaya said in a statement.

Also speaking at the conference, Avaya vice president, Pierre-Paul Allard, said he expected the region to become the largest by revenue for the company within just a few years, following a 600% growth in video and 2.5-times growth seen in India. Regional projections have led the company to plan the recruitment of more than 3000 new employees in 2014.

Also discussed were forecasts for the cloud market. Avaya projected a $10.9bn contact centre cloud market, $61.9bn unified communications cloud market, and a $12bn cloud services market across the global growth markets theatre by 2019.

"It is a great honour for us to host our strategic partners and our customers from around the world under one roof here in Dubai," said Ltaif. "We are set to take our guests beyond today and well into the future, demonstrating our commitment to delivering superior technology and service that enables them to accelerate their success as we move into the coming era."
