CHANNEL CONFERENCE: Experts gather to examine business prospects

Regional channel players gathered today for the fifth annual Channel Middle East Conference 2014, which got underway at the Ritz Carlton, DIFC.

The conference draws together specialists from across the Middle East IT channel to cover a range of topics affecting vendors, distributors, resellers, systems integrators and retailers.

Kicking off at 10am, this year's summit will cover the overall state of the channel, delving into areas such as the future of the so-called Computer Street businesses; the changing role of systems integrators; and a number of discussions advising on business development.

This year's experts include Roger El Tawil, executive director, Al Masa Value Distribution; Vasanth Menghani, founder and CEO, Quality Gulf Co and board member, Dubai Computer Group; Asem Galal and Samer Karawi, co-founders of Galal & Karawi Consulting; Sherifa Hady, director, Enterprise Group Distribution, HP; Monzer Tohme, regional manager, Sales and Channel, Infor MEA; and Elie Dib, head of channels, METNA, Riverbed Technology.
