Specialist mobile security VAD Oxygen Middle East has used GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK to unveil a new Site Survey initiative developed to help channel partners scope, design, recommend and implement wireless and secure mobility solutions in their clients’ IT environments.

According to Oxygen, the scheme has been designed to assist partners and their customers with pre-sales consultancy services offered by the VAD through a 20-member team of specialist engineers in mobility, security and wireless networking solutions.

Khalid Laban, CEO at Oxygen Middle East, says the new initiative, which is offered free of charge to channel partners and their customers, has been developed as part of the company’s broader value add offerings. “We will pilot this initiative for the next three months and evaluate how we incorporate it as part of our permanent value add offerings to partners across the region. We want to help our resellers with pre-sales consultancy expertise and we believe this is the best approach to get valuable feedback from them and their customers,” he says.

Laban adds that participating at GITEX this year has been a success for the business because the company has been able to unveil this programme.

In addition, Laban says the company has used its time at GITEX to announce a new stocking partnership agreement with Aruba Networks. “I am delighted we were able to publicise the fact that we are now a stocking VAD for Aruba Networks. With this deal, we are now able to timely supply Aruba products to partners across the region,” he says.
