Dell makes ‘customer-centric’ promise at GITEX Brooke: Post-privatisation, Dell’s focus is 100% customer-centric.

Dell Middle East says it is at GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK to showcase its complete end-to-end solutions in four key areas that include IT infrastructure, connectivity, information, and protection.

Dave Brooke, General Manager at Dell Middle East, says the focus at GITEX this year is in four areas that include the transformational work that organisations are having to go through in-terms of how their data centres are looking; connectivity and how they are connecting to the network at the software and hardware levels; inform and information, which includes storage infrastructure and security.

“We have just launched a new storage platform called the SC4020, where we have started to deliver real enterprise-class storage functionality into price points that are unseen the Middle East market. We also have one of our new alliance partners Nutanix on our stand and we have some interesting work in there around around software defined storage,” he says.

Brooke adds that, in fact, the work with Nutanix goes beyond software defined storage and tackles software-defined networking and software-defined data centres.

He explains that in the protection space covering the next-generation firewalls, managed services and consultancy services, the focus has been on enabling all Dell clients regardless of size to be able to respond to any IT threats.

He points out that post privatisation, Dell’s internal focus is now 100% customer-centric.
