ADDoF impresses at first GITEX
Abu Dhabi Department of Finance makes event debut
The Abu Dhabi Department of Finance (ADDoF) is exhibiting at GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK for the first time this year.
The department plans to educate its customers and visitors to the exhibition on its new apps and will be demonstrating a range of electronic systems including its Abu Dhabi Shared Enterprise Resource Planning (ADERP), Military Retirement, Customs Operations systems and Military Retirement Service over mobile, as well as the Custom Mobile Smart Application. Hamad Al Hurr Al Suwaidi, Chairman of DoF, says: “Throughout GITEX, we will demonstrate DoF’s latest smart government resources management initiatives that will ensure seamless improvements and the evolution of Abu Dhabi’s public services.”
“DoF understands the value and role of information technology in strengthening the safety, security and economic prosperity of the local community and we will continue to develop our IT infrastructure in order to build a fully integrated financial and customs system which supports Abu Dhabi’s ongoing growth.”
The ADERP will ensure the convergence of financial systems to create efficiency and accuracy in financial management. The customs operations system is a fully integrated platform, which provides alerts about all incoming shipments through various Abu Dhabi ports (land, sea and air) and connects all ports in a prompt and timely manner, the military retirement system offers leading electronic services that allow military retirees and their beneficiaries to review monthly pension details, and conduct detailed review of their pension and related settlements. It also provides information about various customs procedures, along with an interactive maps of all Abu Dhabi customs posts.

The Abu Dhabi Department of Finance offers financial solutions and resource management, its aim is to support the state’s plans for economic development. The department has various directorates and units such as the Customs Directorate, Budgeting and Government Accounts Directorate, IT and Support Services. It ensures that it develops all transactions and use of modern electronics systems to develop services as much as possible.
