Granteq Distribution, a Dubai-based distributor of integrated AV, control and IT technologies, is demonstrating a range of products at GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK 2014 including its latest technology to aid learning in schools, colleges and other places of learning.

“We are purely focused on learning communication technology. We cater to any market that requires learning communication technology. In terms of learning we go into classrooms and training rooms, providing technology in those areas,” says Girish Narayanan, Managing Director, Granteq Distribution.

He adds that colleges and learning centres now require more advanced technology than projectors and white boards. According to Narayanan, schools and colleges are showing increased interest in using AV solutions to ensure teachers are audible to all students in a classroom. “That is one of the most important factors - amplifying the teacher’s volume within the class and then every student gets an equal chance to learn,” he says.

Granteq also has apps that allow students to attend classes remotely on a PC, tablet or smartphone by accessing live recordings of lessons. Narayanan adds that Granteq is also bringing video conferencing tech to other sectors: “On the communications side we do video conferencing, and we are also bringing tele-health into this.”
