GITEX Shopper gets underway This year's edition of GITEX Shopper, which is said to be the largest yet, is likely to welcome over 210,000 visitors.

Dubai's annual consumer electronics exhibition, GITEX shopper kicked off yesterday.

The eight-day exhibition, which is held at Dubai World Trade Centre was opened by Helal Saeed Al Merri, chief executive of the DWTC.

The event attracted retailers, such as Emax, Jacky's, Plug-ins and Jumbo Electronics, and more than 100 global IT and consumer electronics brands, showcasing over 30,000 products.

This year's edition of GITEX Shopper, which is said to be the largest yet, is likely to welcome over 210,000 visitors.

"Thanks to the commitment of the best brands and biggest retailers in the region, we are expecting another incredibly busy and successful show," stated Trixie LohMirmand, senior vice president of the DWTC.
