StarLink to highlight cost of cybercrime at GITEX Nimer: The annual cost of cybercrime is a whopping $100bn.

Cyber-sec specialist, StarLink, will showcase its portfolio alongside vendor partners at GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK 2014.

StarLink describes itself as "the largest and fastest-growing IT security VAD in the Middle East, Turkey and Africa regions".

Over the past two years, the company has expanded its presence in Sub-Saharan Africa and Turkey. This year, it will execute further expansion plans in Southern Europe, North Africa and North America. Currently, Starlink says it has over 250 channel partners across the 14 countries in which the company has on-the-ground management, sales and technical resources to support them.

"Market research shows, the annual cost of cybercrime is a whopping $100bn," said Mahmoud Nimer, general manager, StarLink.

"Also, compliance is getting ever-more important. At GITEX this year, StarLink will showcase a unique mix of defence-in-depth solutions to combat the latest cyber threats and address today's compliance challenges in the Middle East.
