Data protection specialist SafeNet Inc has announced its participation at GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK 2014 as a stand-alone exhibitor, where it will demonstrate its latest security solutions.

The main theme of SafeNet's participation is Secure the Breach, the company's belief in solutions that encourage breach acceptance rather than prevention, and the necessity to secure what matters: the data.

"We are looking forward to taking a step further at GITEX this year by participating as a standalone exhibitor," said Miguel Braojos, vice president, Sales, Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa (SEMEA), SafeNet.

"For the past three years we have been exhibiting under our channel partners' umbrella to leverage our strategic partnership in the region and the synergies that may exist across our distributors' portfolio. GITEX visitors will now be able to join us on our own SafeNet stand to meet SafeNet data protection experts and executives for a customised approach to their own needs."

At GITEX 2014, SafeNet will be showcasing its entire portfolio of data protection solutions, focusing on its three-step Secure Breach approach: 1: Encrypt data; 2: Store and manage keys with SafeNet HSMs, keys and crypto-management solutions; and 3: Control user access with a broad range of strong authentication solutions.

According to SafeNet's Breach Level Index, there were 1,056 data breaches and more than 575m data records lost or stolen in 2013. The company also claims that the tally for records lost or stolen is already up to 760,044,022 for 2014.

"GITEX is a great platform for companies like SafeNet to promote their portfolio of products and solutions, engage with business and channel partners and reach a wide audience of prospect customers," added Braojos.
