Flash storage specialist SanDisk Corp this week announced the release of its SanDisk Ultra Fit USB 3.0 Flash Drive.

According to SanDisk, users can now transfer a full-length movie in as little as 40 seconds and experience transfer speeds up to 10 times greater than standard USB 2.0 drives.

“As a leader in the flash storage space, our goal has always been to deliver the best, most reliable products,” said Tareq Husseini, regional sales director, SanDisk Mediterranean Middle East and Africa. “SanDisk’s Ultra Fit USB 3.0 Flash Drive offers consumers superior performance and impressive capacity in an extremely compact design.”

The Ultra Fit comes in three capacities. The 16GB version offers up to five times greater write speeds than standard USB 2.0 drives and the 64GB and 32GB versions offer write speeds up to 10 times faster than standard USB 2.0 drives, SanDisk claims.

The company also said that all capacities provide up to 130MB/s read speeds and feature SanDisk SecureAccess software for 128-bit encryption and password protection on files. All models include a year’s subscription to RescuePRO software to recover lost or corrupted files.
