Allied Telesis, SCD to conduct channel road roadshows Allied Telesis, SCD will host channel roadshows in nine cities across seven countries in the region.

Allied Telesis, a maker of IP/Ethernet switching solutions, has announced that it has teamed up with authorised distribution partner, Specialist Computer Distribution (SCD) to conduct a series of roadshows for its channel partners in the Gulf.

According to the vendor, the roadshow will see it engage reseller partners in Qatar, Oman, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and Pakistan.

"Over the years we have witnessed remarkable growth and demand of our products from large enterprises, big organisations and government. To manage this growth effectively, we have been rapidly expanding our reach and these roadshows intend to further enhance our channel footprint," said Sabbahuddin Khan, regional manager, Allied Telesis Middle East.

Khan added: "The agenda for the roadshow includes presenting a global and regional overview of the company and its offerings. Senior executives from  Allied Telesis and SCD will make presentations and update partners on the latest industry trends, new products and discuss the technical edge that Allied's products have over the competition."

Khan explained that the company will also use the roadshows to introduce its channel engagement programme and several partner initiatives. "These roadshows will be followed by technical training and certification workshops for partners in their respective countries," he said.

Imtiaz Ghani, general manager at SCD, said: "We are excited about these roadshows and expecting a large attendance at all the nine locations in seven countries where these sessions will be held. Channels partners are keen to take this opportunity that will enable them to move in the right direction. With Allied Telesis, we share the same philosophy to enable and empower the channel as that enhances confidence and capabilities."
