Verdict
In a region where IT hardware trading is so widespread, Help AG has devised a strategy that stresses the importance of providing IT solutions to clients rather than depend on box shipping sales. With IT security solutions in demand, the SI has seen its revenue jump, an indication that this is a sector witnessing growth.

What were the company’s milestones in 2013?
Despite our niche focus we grew aggressively and enjoyed 80% year-on-year growth in 2013. Some of our milestones included the setting up of our Security Analysis Division.

What are your strategic plans for the rest of 2014?
Our plans for the second half of this year are fully aligned with our three corporate strategic initiatives outlined till 2016. These are: focusing on existing markets, UAE and Qatar, and geographical expansion into KSA.

What were the main drivers for your revenue growth in 2013?
Last year we were able to strengthen our position as one of the leading information security services providers in the UAE. We grew exceptionally well in Qatar and we are seeing the same positive development in 2014.

Has the SI sector recovered from the market instability?
We haven’t seen any instability at all. The economics used to be strong and the strategic initiatives around information security have been well funded by enterprise and government organisations.

Where will most of your business growth come from in 2014?
Our business doesn’t depend on a specific industry vertical. We make sure to focus and be present within the leading organisations in each and every vertical segment.
