With a solid public sector and government reach, Tech Forte wants to capitalise on the many new government-driven IT projects aimed at improving public services and efficiency. Being part of Global Distribution Group gives the SI financial strength to go after public sector IT projects, where payment cycles are usually longer.

What were the company’s milestones in 2013?
We started operations in 2012, and 2013 was a year of managing growth to reach critical mass and building credibility among our partners – suppliers and customers alike – in the MENA region.

What are your strategic plans for the rest of 2014?
Our strategy remains unchanged and is clearly defined as we continue to build strong alliances with key vendors (existing and new), to support our customers in the public sector, education and SME verticals.

What were the main drivers for your revenue growth in 2013?
The public sector has definitely been a key contributor to our success in 2013, as Dubai showed a strong re-bound. IT and telecoms infrastructure solutions and virtualisation projects were among the top technologies in demand last year.

Has the SI sector recovered from the market instability?
The enterprise SI area is where it has not fully recovered for many, unfortunately, but this is just a sign of maturity and ultimately good for the sector.

Where will your business growth come from in 2014?
The public sector, education and SME verticals in the region. We are committed to building our ICT solutions mainly to cater to those three core segments.
