Nominations for this year's ACN Arab Technology Awards are set to close on Monday 18th August.

Nominations for the awards can still be made via the Awards website up until the closing date.

The awards, now in their tenth year, recognise the outstanding work that has been carried out in the Middle East enterprise IT market over the past 12 months.

This year's awards includes an increased focus on end user implementations, with eight awards to recognise leading projects in key vertical sectors; along with new awards to acknowledge innovative use of technology at the bleeding edge, and the young professionals who are helping to drive the sector forward.

Two new categories have been introduced this year, the Harnessing Innovation Award and the Young IT Professional of the Year award.

The Harnessing Innovation Award will go to an organisation that can demonstrate how it has taken the latest, cutting-edge technology, and harnessed it to bring real benefits to its business. The winner will be selected by the judging panel from among the project implementation categories.

The young IT Professional of the Year award will recognise the achievements of a young person working in the IT industry in the region today. The judges will consider academic and professional certifications, involvement in innovative projects, commitment to further development and examples of professional achievements. Young IT professionals (35 and under) may nominate themselves, or organisations can choose to nominate members of their staff that stand out as young achievers.
