The G3 debuted globally in May and was touted by LG as "the first smartphone in the industry with Laser Auto Focus, easily capturing life's special moments as they occur". The main camera is a 13MP OIS+ model, but as is now customary among smartphone vendors, the 2.1MP front-facing camera was given special attention to cater to selfie-crazed snappers. It includes a larger image sensor and larger aperture for greater light throughput.

The G3 has a 5.5-inch Quad HD display with a pixel density of 538ppi and the Rear Key interface makes a return. LG continues to take pride in its ergonomics and has introduced fresh designs for the power key and volume buttons.

"The LG G3 will captivate and excite UAE consumers at the same time with the most advanced technology and simplified user experience currently in the smartphone market," said DY Kim, president, LG Electronics Gulf FZE.

"The LG G3 is an upgrade to the G2 with a range of upgraded features, [such as] the industry-first Laser Auto Focus and the 5.5-inch Quad HD display with four times the resolution of normal HD and two times higher resolution than a full HD display. We are confident the LG G3 will be a huge hit with UAE consumers as we have taken the smartphone to new heights."
