Intel Security celebrates five-year growth journey
Firm formerly known as McAfee sketches out future focus at Dubai partner summit
Cyber protection specialist Intel Security Group, formerly McAfee Inc, has seen a staggering five-year growth journey, according to Middle East regional director, Hamad Diab.
From 2008 to 2009, year-on-year growth stood at 95%. From 2009 to 2010 the company saw further growth of 15%. From 2010 to 2011 the figure was 28% and 2011 to 2012 saw a bump of 59%. In 2013 a year-on-year increase of 16% was recorded and Diab said the group is pursuing a swell of 38% for 2014.
"This is a continuous journey," Diab told channel partners today at the Intel Security Partner Summit in JW Marriott Marquis, Dubai. "This market is ready to grow with us."
"You have an explosive opportunity in your market. Don't say the West is more mature and has bigger volume. Not true."
Diab highlighted the breadth of the Intel Security product portfolio, pointing out that it now covered a wider range of mitigation scenarios. For 2014 the company will focus on end-point security; next-generation firewalls; security information and event management (SIEM) and analytics; and advanced threat defence.
