Acer has unveiled its latest tablet at its “A Touch More Connected” launch event in New York.

The Iconia One 7 tablet, which features front and rear cameras and two speakers, comes with a rear case with a textured pattern to provide anti-slip properties and is available in red, white, black, blue and pink.

“The 7-inch tablet, with Intel Inside, is the ultimate go-to device for anyone who wants fun, enjoyment, value design and unique color options. The affordable price makes it even more compelling for families, children, first time users and anyone on a budget.” Acer said in a statement.

Running on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) which is upgradeable to Android 4.4 (Kitkat), the Acer Iconia One 7 is said to be “smooth” for games and video due to its Intel Atom Z2560 processor and 1280x800 resolution which is designed to ensure games, websites, e-books and all visuals are clear.

Measuring 8.9 mm thin, the tablet features a LED-backlit HD display with IPS technology; 16:10 display for video; and up to seven hours battery life when viewing 720p video.

The Iconia One 7 features MicroSD card slots for extended storage and users can access AcerCloud for sharing of videos, photos, music and documents across multiple devices.
