STC's Security Operation Center (SOC) has qualified for the ISO 27001:2005 standard for security management procedures.

STC was awarded the certification, which relates to Information security management systems, by BSI. BSI has conducted an extensive review of STC's policies and procedures in the SOC to ensure that they meet global standards.

The move to certify for the ISO standard is part of STC's drive to raise the level of all of its services, management and organisational processes, to adherence to global metrics and standards.

STC's SOC provides a central facility to deliver security control and operation services for the groups subsidiaries, and also to offer security services to small and medium enterprises in different business sectors.
