Dubai-based tablet and smartphone manufacturer, Touchmate has launched a new service centre in Computer Street, a move it says will help the company in providing comprehensive after-sales support to resellers and consumers in the UAE.

Touchmate said the new service centre will offer post-sales support on all Touchmate products bought in the retail and traditional dealer channel.

Kamal Kumar, general manager at Touchmate said, the company has decided to open a service centre to manage the after-sales support and help the retail and reseller channels with repair services on any Touchmate branded product that break down and need fixing.

Kumar said the service centre is equipped with qualified technicians and engineers and will offer fast track repair services to clients. "As our business continues to grow especially in the mobility segment, we felt it was important that we handle all after-sales inquiries and services in-house," he said.

He said by taking the responsibility to handle repairs and post-sales support on Touchmate products in-house, the company is demonstrating its commitment to partners and consumers in the local market. "We have witnessed phenomenal growth with our tablet offerings in the region. Having our own service centre behind our brand creates the piece of mind for consumers that Touchmate is committed to providing services beyond their in store customer experience," he said.

Kumar pointed out that the service centre will offer a range of services including repairing faulty products, general servicing, upgrades and product demos.

He said as the company continues to expand its in-country operations in various GCC and Middle East countries, it is crucial that it supports partners on the ground. "The service centre in Dubai is the starting point for us and we are hoping to expand this to other countries in the region," he said.
