A10 Networks this week announced that its Thunder Series application delivery controllers (ADCs) have achieved certified integration with SAP applications.

In a statement, A10 said that its Thunder Series solutions had been tested and verified to integrate with SAP solutions. This would provide its customers with higher reliability and availability, as well as security against security threats such as DDoS attacks, the vendor added.

The tests were conducted by the SAP Integration and Certification Centre (SAP ICC), and covered network security, reliability and availability.

"We are delighted to announce the successful achievement of SAP certification for the A10 Thunder Series," said Glen Ogden, regional sales director for the Middle East at A10 Networks.

"The ability of the Thunder Series to leverage the business potential of SAP solutions will prove highly beneficial to current and future customer engagements."

A10 said that, within an SAP-based infrastructure, customers deploying its Thunder Series ADCs would benefit from load balancing for high availability; improved application security by using X.059 certificates and other mechanisms; greater application security from DDoS attacks; and rapid distribution of client traffic.
