VirtuPort has announced it will launch the fourth annual MENA Information Security Conference under the theme of "Securing Your Mobile Enterprise".

The conference is to be held in Saudi Arabia between 25 and 26 March, 2014 at Four Seasons Hotel and is expected to be attended by information technology and security professionals from a number of industries across the government and private sectors.

This year's keynote speakers will include representatives from Forrester, Arab Advisors and the International Cyber Threat Task Force and topics will include BYOD, advanced persistent threats (APT) and malware.

The conference will focus on strategies for enterprises to grow their cyber security coverage beyond traditional platforms to include mobile devices.  Verizon's Data Breach and Investigation Breach Report from 2013 reveals that 69% of breaches were spotted by an external party (9% by customers); 76% of network intrusions exploited weak or stolen credentials; and 75% of attacks are opportunistic and financially motivated.

Dr Mohammed Hasan Omar, CEO of VirtuPort, said: "Throughout 2013 and into 2014, we have seen the region continue to be affected by cyber-security threats. The recent breaches in companies like Target remind us that there are many challenges. The collection of distinguished international speakers will help the expected 300-plus delegates from various organisations to put information security back as a top priority."

This year's conference is organised and sponsored by VirtuPort and MorphLynx along with IBM and MIS (Diamond Sponsors); Juniper and HP (Platinum Sponsors); Blue Coat, Kaspersky, McAfee, SourceFire, I(TS)2 and Websense (Gold Sponsors); Access Data, Verizon, FireEye, PaloAlto and Fortinet (Silver Sponsors); and CyberRoam (Bronze Sponsor).   Other sponsors include (ISC)2, Arab Advisors, Forrester and Verizon.
