Redington Value signed as Oracle VAD Balakrishnan says Oracle represents the first prospect for Redington Value to position the entire stack including apps, middleware and storage.

Redington Value, the value-added distribution (VAD) arm of Redington Gulf, a subsidiary of Redington India, has announced that it will distribute Oracle solutions in the Middle East region including Egypt.

In terms of the deal, Redington Value will provide a multitude of services for the entire Oracle stack to its VAR partners, including sales support, market intelligence, pre-sales support and commercial skills. In addition, the company will also provide Oracle Authorised Solution Centres for the benefit of partners and customers across the region.

Redington Value said it will focus on the development of the Oracle channel in the Middle East region, driving deeper adoption of the vendor's technology and applications within the regional IT channel.

Ramkumar Balakrishnan, senior vice president, Redington Gulf's Value Division, said: "Oracle represents the first opportunity for Redington Value to position the entire stack including applications, middleware and storage as a true converged infrastructure platform in the form of Oracle engineered systems to its customer segment. We see great value in this relationship and the potential that it has for both the companies to harness the capability of the channel in the Middle East."

Balakrishnan said the company is excited to work with Oracle in this journey and the partner community can look forward to a lot of innovative methods to engage with Oracle through Redington Value.

According to Redington, it will offer its partners pricing and deal support for Oracle solutions and support in terms of enablement and demand generation. The company also stated that it will also be responsible for identifying a strategic network of specialist partners that will drive deeper adoption of Oracle products within the ISV community in the region.
