Iran-based Samim Elektronik Co, a manufacturer of broadcast and professional video equipment, has revealed that it is seeking to recruit dealers for its product portfolio in the Middle East region.

Samim, which is showcasing studio equipment, subhead end equipment, studio monitoring systems and IPTV solutions at Cabsat 2014, said the company is using this year's participation at the show to reach out to dealers and systems integrators (SIs) targeting the media and communications segment in the Middle East and Asia.

Mohammad Reza Alavimanesh, CEO at Samim Elektronik Co, said currently the company has presence in Iran and Turkey, and would like to extend its regional presence in the Middle East, Asia and Europe. "We believe participating at Cabsat will give us the opportunity to meet potential dealers and systems integrators interesting in working with us," Alavimanesh said.

He pointed out that although the regional economy experienced challenges in the past four years, the broadcast industry has continued to see steady growth as media houses move to capture new audiences. "We are witnessing growth in all our offerings especially the studio equipment as companies in the broadcast industry in the region are upgrading their kit," he said.

Alavimanesh said as the company wants to extend its market coverage in Middle East, Asia and Europe, it has embarked on a partner recruitment drive. "Part of the recruitment exercise will also see the Samim provide training and transfer knowledge to partners in the region," he said.

Alavimanesh remarked that the company has always focused on exchanging scientific and technical knowledge and expertise with academic and research centres around the world. "This we believe is one way of ensuring that we are increasing the knowledge base of our products," he said.

He said it's vital for Samim to participate at Cabsat because it is one of the largest exhibitions for manufacturers and those involved in creating, managing and delivering the future of electronic media, entertainment technology and content. "Cabsat is up there with other global exhibitions like IBC. We are upbeat that our participation at the show will open doors for us to engage partners playing in the broadcast industry," he said.
