ASUS announces Transformer Book T100 The ASUS T100 Transformer Book features a 10.1 inch detachable tablet screen.

Asus has released its new Transformer Book T100, a convertible ultraportable with detachable 10.1 HD screen that serves as a standalone tablet.

The Transformer Book runs on a new Intel Atom Z3740 quad-core processor, which promises smooth multi-tasking performance and improved energy efficiency with up to 11 hours battery life.

The Transformer Book weighs just 1.07kg, while the tablet screen weighs in at just 550g.
The ultraportable also features a lightweight keyboard dock with precision-engineered keys; multi-touch touchpad with full Windows 8.1 gesture support; 1366 x 768 resolution and IPS technology for wide 178-degree viewing angles and exclusive ASUS ‘Reading Mode' technology to automatically make the screen easier to read for long periods.

The device also includes ASUS Instant On to wake from standby in an instant, ASUS SonicMaster audio technology, USB 3.0, 802.11a/b/g/n dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. Transformer Book is bundled with Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013 with full versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote.
