Vendor moves to consolidate in-country presence in the Levant region

DrayTek partners with Rifat Nabulsi & Co for Jordan DrayTek wants to grow its in-country presence and coverage in the Levant region.

DrayTek is a manufacturer of broadband equipment, firewalls, VPN devices, routers and wireless LAN solutions has signed Rifat Nabulsi & Co as the official distributor for its products in Jordan.

In terms of the agreement, Rifat Nabulsi & Co is the authorised distributor in Jordan and will be responsible for sales activities, product supply, inventory management, technical support for pre-sales consultancy, installation and trouble shooting, marketing campaigns and training for SIs, VARs and resellers.

Company spokesperson Joseph Tsai, said Rifat Nabulsi & Co has been selected because of its experience and a larger VAR focus in Jordanian market. Tsai said the company is very strong in providing support to partners that serve the needs of the SME and SOHO in the telephony arena, something that augurs well with DrayTek's product array. "In order for us to reach out and better serve the SMB we have appointed Rifat to be our local distributor, carrying our products and bundling these offerings with premium after-sales services," he said.

Tsai said the addition Rifat complements DrayTek's in-country presence as the company either has distributors or area reseller parnters in KSA, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Iran and Iraq. "In the Levant region, we have one distributor and reseller partners in Lebanon and Syria for many years now," he said. "Through our alliance with Rifat DrayTek plans to cultivate and develop the Jordanian IT channel.

He added that the company has four main focus areas in Jordan and these include: SI/VAR segment, ISP, police and governmental entities and retail channel. "The SI/VAR sector is the main part of the global partner ecosystem which contributes most of the business revenue to us," he said. "We understand the value that these resellers bring in not only reselling hardware, but also in enhancing their service to various end-user clients."

He said DrayTek in conjunction with Rifat, will be rolling out training and product update seminars for all partners in Jordan.
